Complete the following activities and write down key insights.

Grow

The Book of Ephesians is a letter written by Paul, an early Christian leader, to a group of believers in a city called Ephesus. In this letter, Paul communicates words of truth and encouragement. The following passage is taken from that letter. Read Ephesians 2:1-10 and write down answers to these questions:

  • What did you learn about the Eternal Story from this passage? What encouraged you and what surprised you?

  • Spend some time trying to write out, as best you understand it, the Eternal Story in your own words. Consider sharing your version with a fellow believer to see how it can be adjusted or improved.

Live

Write down the “sub-plot” of your life, as a character in this grand narrative. Specifically, the story of how God has interacted with your life personally and how you have seen His invisible hand orchestrating and working in your past and present. Share this story with at least one other person.
