If you are reading this book, then you’ve likely made the most important and consequential decision anyone can make: to trust Jesus with your life. This trust in the Savior of the world— also called faith—has brought forgiveness and freedom. It has changed your path from one of death to one of life. It is for this simple reason that Jesus said, “there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10). Heaven is throwing a party—over you!
In fact, so precious are you to God that the Bible declares: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). People only pay for something what they think it is worth. Let that sink in: what God was willing to give to purchase your freedom and reunite you with Himself. This is why the story of Jesus and what He has done for humanity is called the gospel, which literally means “good news.” This good news, though—what happened to you in that moment of trusting in Jesus—goes well beyond the incredible gift of being forgiven and saved from your sin. This short booklet is meant to open your eyes to the new reality and world you entered and are now living in, as trusting in Jesus is not just a one-time event but a lifestyle that touches every aspect of how you perceive and live life. Discovering and living in this new reality is a lifelong quest, but the truths and activities in this booklet will help you dive headfirst into this new journey with God that is filled with awe and wonder.
