The Book of 2 Corinthians is the second letter written by Paul, an early Christian leader, to a group of believers in a city called Corinth. In this portion of his encouraging letter, Paul talks to them about the hope they can have in Jesus. Read 2 Corinthians 4:13-18 and write down answers to these questions:
What do you learn about the New Hope you have in Jesus from this passage?
How are the hopes we have in Jesus different from other hopes we might have in life?
Live
Make a list of all the New Hopes you are experiencing in Jesus, both in this life and the next. Set several reminders to remember these throughout the day and find at least one person with whom to share some of these hopes. Also, consider making this a regular practice, as the Bible says, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15).
