The Book of John contains the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, written by John, as referenced earlier. This passage takes place shortly before Jesus goes to die on the cross and is part of a long teaching Jesus gives to His closest followers or disciples. Read John 15:1-8 and write down answers to these questions:

  • Just like a branch receives nourishment from the vine, so do we from Jesus. What did you learn about this critical connection from this passage?

  • What do you think it looks like to abide (to be continually connected with) in Jesus? What are some practical ways you might approach this?
