Congratultions

Congratulations on completing this crash course on Christianity, focused on the New Life you have in Jesus. Hopefully your time reading, reflecting and acting on the truths in this booklet have opened your eyes to the awesomeness of this New Life. I pray you see your faith as not just some small addition to your former life, but as a new existence, filled with awe and wonder, radically impacting the heart and center of your world. I hope you’ve glimpsed the new and abundant life Jesus promised to those who place their trust in Him, and that you’re inspired to see where this new path will lead.

As stated in the opening, this beautiful truth does not mean your life will be easy—free from pain, suffering, temptation or failure. You will likely experience these in abundance, as Jesus Himself did, except for one, as He did not fail. Instead, it means you have a loving Father God to provide for you, a faithful friend Jesus who will never leave you, and the powerful indwelling Spirit to comfort, guide and empower you to live out this New Life. It also means there are deep, eternal purposes for you that will impact and echo into eternity, and a new spiritual reality that will touch your soul in ways you could not imagine.

As you live out this life, keep these new realities at the forefront of your heart and mind. Continue to grow in your knowledge and love of God, your loving service toward others and what it means to live a life on mission for Him. And don’t do it alone. God designed us to live in relationship, as part of a vibrant faith community, grounded in love and expressed in generous, sacrificial service. You need others, they need you, and the world needs the powerful, saving, transformative life and message carried by this ancient movement of Jesus followers, of which you are now a part. Above all, trust in Him always, especially when times are hard, knowing that His love for you will never fail.

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Amen.

This is new life.
