The Book of 1 Corinthians is the first letter written by Paul, an early Christian leader, to a group of believers in a city called Corinth, referenced earlier. In the following portion of this corrective letter, Paul shares about how God calls us to unity and service with other Christians. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 and write down answers to these questions:
What are at least three things you learned about the “body of Christ” and how it works from this passage?
How have you seen and experienced the “body” so far and how do you think you can get more plugged in?

Understanding and performing your role is a lifelong journey, but one simple way to discern and grow in it is by weaving together what God has placed before you. Specifically, make separate lists for all your passions, skills, opportunities and resources. Then pray and ask God for guidance on one practical way you can bring items from these lists together to encourage and serve the rest of the “body” in a consistent way.
